After actually agreeing with the lone sane member of Kentucky's Congressional delegation John Yarmuth on something Rand Paul is back to being himself. Namely, Kentucky's Mad Doctor turned Senator. It appears as if all the bong hits with Aqua Buddha have indeed caught up with his short-term memory. You see, in asking someone to step down before they even begin a job Rand Paul shows that he has totally forgotten the roots of the trouble that have beset our country. We have a better idea for the Mad Buddhist turned doctor.
The Mad Doctor of Kentucky politics wants Alan Krueger to quit before he can even begin to work as President Obama's newest economic advisor. Here he is showing complete ignorance of recent history in blaming Krueger and Obama for the state of the economy:
“Alan Krueger is nothing more than an extreme government interventionist, cut from the same cloth as those who have failed to correctly predict, diagnose, and manage our economic problem,” the Kentucky Republican said in a statement.
“During his tenure at the Treasury Department, Alan Krueger helped design the ‘cash for clunkers’ program and even supported a European style value-added tax that would raise prices on American families,” he added.

But wait, was the Cash for Clunkers program not a success which did what was seriously needed at the time by giving the economy a boost and saving or creating jobs??:
Car buyers will have their last shot to take advantage of the $3,500 or $4,500 incentives this weekend — the program ends Monday night. Through early Friday, it had spent more than $2 billion in federal money, accounting for sales of more than 489,000 new vehicles.
Beyond the individual sales, the program has led to notable — if perhaps temporary — economic gains. General Motors and Chrysler, fresh off government-led bankruptcies, have boosted production, along with Toyota, Ford and others. GM is rehiring more than 1,300 laid-off workers, Hyundai is bringing 3,000 workers back to an Alabama plant, and automakers are paying workers overtime to meet the demand.

Does he so easily forget the destruction the failure of his Corporate vision wrought upon our country in 2008?? Because when you look at Alan Krueger it seems as if the only thing Paul and his ilk oppose is Corporate America not having a shill in the Obama Administration to do their bidding:
The appointment drew support from both liberal and conservative economists, but it was immediately denounced by Republican political leaders who pointed to Krueger's past advocacy of ending tax breaks for big oil companies and capping greenhouse emissions to encourage corporate moves toward a clean-energy economy.
In introducing Krueger in the Rose Garden on Monday morning, Obama promised to rely on the Princeton University economist for recommendations "not based on politics, not based on narrow interests, but based on the best evidence" about what's best for the economy.

But even worse for Paul and the Corporate Republican Party is that as an academic Alan Krueger totally shattered the myths they have used their propoganda machine to shove onto the American people:
As an academic, Krueger is best known for his work on minimum wages. Krueger's research with other economists, including David Card at Berkeley, showed that raising the minimum wage doesn't lead to job losses, as is often claimed.
Responding to the nomination Monday, several Republicans inferred that Krueger would advocate raising minimum wages as a way to boost employment.

And of course we all know that Rand Paul wants everyone to work for less:
Well, in typical Republican fashion he supports lower wages for everyone but himself:
Tea party favorite Rand Paul has rocketed to the lead ahead of Tuesday’s Republican Senate primary here on a resolute pledge to balance the federal budget and slash the size of government.
But on Thursday evening, the ophthalmologist from Bowling Green said there was one thing he would not cut: Medicare physician payments.
In fact, Paul — who says 50% of his patients are on Medicare — wants to end cuts to physician payments under a program now in place called the sustained growth rate, or SGR. “Physicians should be allowed to make a comfortable living,” he told a gathering of neighbors in the back yard of Chris and Linda Wakild, just behind the 10th hole of a golf course.

Which just leads me to ask a question of Rand Paul. How many jobs have you created in your tenure?? Indeed, you are not "cut from the same cloth as those who have failed to correctly predict, diagnose, and manage our economic problems" but you represent an extreme version of the vision of those folks on crack. Your fantasy land of no regulations for anything, no taxes for anyone and no government for anything would create anarchy and Neo-Feudalism.
That is why here at Hillbilly Report we are calling upon Rand Paul to resign as United States Senator. Hell, as sorry as this Congress has been for the American people it is like he never started work either!! With the vision he brings to the table he can offer nothing but an extreme version of the status-quo which would destroy our country. Under the guidelines introduced by him, it is time for Rand Paul to step aside.
