Hysterical!
The state fair booth run by the misnamed group "Minnesota for Marriage," a proponent of the 2012 ballot initiative seeking to constitutionally ban same-sex marriage in Minnesota, was caught by surprise this weekend. Imagine: One minute you're handing out lie-filled anti-gay propaganda to state fair visitors, and the next minute you're covered in glitter. Good luck getting that out.
Opponents of the amendment, who weren't as lucky as Minnesota for Marriage in securing a booth inside the fair, took their protest to the skies. Protesters rode above the anti-gay booth on the fair's Sky Ride, armed only with a message of social justice and a whole lot of glitter. Yelling "Where's our booth?" and "Equality for all!" they let the glitter go. What a scene!
You have to watch the video:
There's something deeply satisfying about seeing these bigots' booth covered in glitter. And did you catch the guy at the end telling the priest to "kiss my ass"!? Beautiful!
This, of course, is only the latest in a series of protests which have employed this "glittering" technique." Other victims include Michele Bachmann, Newt Gingrich, and Tim Pawlenty.
Let the glitter fly! (because these videos never get old)
And who could forget what the "gay barbarians" did to Marcus Bachmann's clinic?
I say keep the glitter coming!
