The DNC is going up in battleground states with TV ads that really are the first Obama for President ads for 2012. It's about jobs.
The next election is 14 months away. And the people who sent us here -- the people who hired us to work for them -- they don’t have the luxury of waiting 14 months. Some of them are living week to week, paycheck to paycheck, even day to day. They need help, and they need it now.
And members of Congress, it is time for us to meet our responsibilities.
Indeed, this appears to be the biggest DNC effort so far in 20011, airing the ad in Denver, Tampa, Orlando, Des Moines, Las Vegas, Manchester, Raleigh, Charlotte, Columbus, Cleveland, Norfolk, Richmond, Roanoke, and D.C. The fact that all of these cities, except D.C., are in key 2012 battleground states is not a coincidence.
The DNC is also reportedly buying time on facebook, YouTube, Hulu, Pandora, and online outlets like the Huffington Post, running two separate ads.
Washington Monthly, Steve Benen
The campaign has begun. It's time to unify, to bridge our differences, and re-elect the President.
