not according to me - I am opposed to capital punishment
according to his own reasoning
Cameron Todd Willingham was sentenced to death for committing an arson, the resulting fire having killed his children, hence a felony murder.
As we have heard many times about this case, especially in this post from Laura Clawson,
Not only did Governor Perry deny Willingham’s appeal for clemency even though an expert arson investigator had rebutted all the solid evidence in the case, Perry fired investigators who were about to provide Willingham’s innocence.
One can argue that is obstruction of justice. In a felony case, obstruction of justice is a felony.
Perry and others clearly conspired to deny the civil rights of Willingham. Conspiracy is a felony.
Willingham was killed judicially, but that does not make it any less a murder, albeit a state murder.
Willingham died as a result of felonies committed by Rick Perry.
That is felony murder.
By Rick Perry's reasoning, Rick Perry is a monster and should be executed.
Otherwise Rick Perry is guilty of hypocrisy.
