I am saying this with some disappointment but it must be said. The Vetlife with Vetwife and Friends showed great potential but a very wise Kossack on here once told me (llbear) a great friend, advised me not to overdo and always
to set my prioities in order. The stress of overextending ones self is too much.
I am pretty well known for my advocacy for veterans. I wanted to bring that to the
listening audience. Justice Putnam and others at Netroots gave me that oppotunity.
I had great plans and in experimental stages to do just that. There were too many
glitches, technical problems, shutdowns, and bascially screwups to continue with the
show. DaNang and Angelajean were supportive and we all researched our topics but
somehow they always got missed when either myself or someone else just fell off the air. I could give a lot of reasons why this could have worked but more why it will never
work for me in this arena. I had two guest lined up..One was never heard and one will never be heard. My goodfriend William Rivers Pitt from Truthout was going to be interviewed but that just cannot happen because I had rather not be heard at all
go to the jump
than heard as someone who cannot hold people or airwaves in place.
I appreciate the tech support that I got but Skype IMO for me just had too many problems and others seem to carry it well but my format did not seem to do very well and part of which I feel was there was no ability to control the callers. Some of the
format was designed to be informative, activist motivated and purely an enjoyable experience for all involved. For whatever reasons, mine, Skype, technical problems, that did not happen. I did not just pull a Sarah Palin on quitting. I just have sense enough to know When to quit. This was a failed experiment but I thank eveyone for
their hard work and enthusiasm. I think the tipping point came last night when a guest
was on and a bit over the top and I could not drop the guest. It was out of my control.
I can't function in that capacity. I thank you all and please continue to listen to
Justice and Wink and Yuri and their shows, as they seem to know how to deal with
their own agenda, but for me and my show...I will say...Exit...stage left.
Thanks again for joining me in this experiment.
iI will continue to advocate and do my best to help and get the word out for our
deserving men and women in uniform and advocate for our veterans. I will just continue to try and do it which I feel is most fruitful and definately respectful.
See ya in the diaries.
