Documenting what is going on in Liberty Plaza through the LiveStream video feed, YouTube, and Twitter is essential, but so is maintaining a centralized place for action links, phone numbers, donation spots, etc. So here it is! If anyone has more action items to add, PLEASE post it in the comments and I'll update immediately!

GENERAL INFORMATION
-Check out occupywallst.org, the "official" site of the occupation.
-Occupytogether.com connects occupation movements across the country/globe.
-More info from the protester's General Assembly group here.
-They also have a Facebook page.
-Wikipedia article here.
-Watch the live stream of video from Liberty Plaza.
-This should be trending on Twitter: #OccupyWallStreet
-Fellow Kossacks War on Error, MinistryOfTruth, TBug, and others have a ton of great informative diaries in the Occupy Wall Street group.
EXPRESS SOLIDARITY
-Retweet, Facebook share, e-mail, call, etc. The mainstream media has been in full black out mode on this all week (just started coverage late this evening--mostly just republishing 1 AP article), so it's really imperative that we become the media and let other people know what's going on. A good thing to do is change your profile picture to one of these images.
-Sign this Whitehouse.gov petition calling for official recognition of the protesters. The threshold for a press release is 5000 signatures. Yes, it may be absolutely pointless, but a large amount of signatures will prove that each of those protesters represents many more of us who can't physically be there.
-Check out Gustogirl's diary from earlier today re: Protest by Proxy.
-UPDATE: If you've been following, you know the movement initially began without a single message. In the past week, they've been trying to come to a consensus about their "one demand." To that effect, they've asked for input from supporters. You can vote here.
-Make some phone calls!
Mayor Bloomberg: 212-788-1400
Let him know sending the NYPD to violate civil rights in protection of his own financial interests won't be tolerated!
1st NYPD Precinct: (212) 334-0611
Approximately 80 protesters are/were being held there. I'm not sure of the exact current situation, but they were held inside transport vans and buses for several hours this afternoon, not allowed access to drinks, restrooms, or medical attention.
-UPDATE:
Email the NYPD Commissioner about the macing of corralled protesters here. (thanks tb92).
Contact the NYPD Internal Affairs Board about the officer who maced the cornered girls yesterday (thanks mdmslle):
Against that Lieutenant who sprayed and walked. Include this video. It is damning.
What does Internal Affairs investigate?
The Internal Affairs Bureau investigates allegations of corruption and serious misconduct against members of the NYPD.
How do I make a complaint?
The IAB Command Center office is open for complaint, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A complaint may also be called in by phone to (212) 741-8401, by E-Mail to IAB@NYPD.org, or By postal mail to Occupant, P.O. Box 1001, New York 10014; to the Internal Affairs Bureau, located at 315 Hudson Street, New York, NY 10013 or in person at any Police Department facility.
Must an individual identify themselves to report an allegation?
No, an individual need not identify themselves in order to report an allegation. However, if not identified that individual must understand they cannot be contacted by the investigative unit for further information.
MEDIA RELATIONS
-Contact media outlets that are still ignoring the protesters (CNN); visit media outlets who are reporting and comment on stories -- many of them are negative or misleading so it's crucial that they're corrected. Even for those that are accurate, support in the comments is great for good PR. (MSNBC; WSJ; CBS; Google News Search with tons of links)
-UPDATE: Contact the NYT about the shitty article ThirdRail picked apart here.
DONATIONS
-Protester's wishlist as of Sept 23rd here. Real-time Twitter updates about needs can be found here.
-Physical items (Money orders only for $, they can't cash checks) can be shipped to:
The UPS Store
