I diaried (posted) the other night about John who was burned while working with his son on a car. He's gonna be ok.
Turns out they wanted to airlift him to the university hospital but couldn't due to severe storms in the area, hence the ambulance ride. He has second degree burns all over his face but his eyes are fine and he didn't inhale gas or heat into his lungs.
John's Cobra ran out a few months ago so after his pain was controlled and a few days of care and observation passed by the unit made a home care plan and discharged him. He's better off, I think, being home with his family who are doing the care and the pain meds are doing their job.
I also understand that since the facility is a state university medical center that they will work with John and his family on the bills. A blessing indeed.
Thank you all for the warm wishes, prayers and caring. It all helped.
