I won't link to it; but there is a certain website. I think it's name rhymes with BedHate or TedSlate or something. It lies somewhere on the other side of the aisle of compassion and reason. On a dare I ventured over there earlier today. I saw what can only be described as the best the GOP can do in the face of the #OccupyWallStreet movement. If you want to put on your repelling gear and environment suit and head over there the piece is quite easy to find; 4th down on their version of "the front page". It is titled thus: Bizarre mind-control techniques at Wall St. protests.
It starts with that title; then shows comments from the #OWS live stream on the #OccupyCleveland FB page. Including these:
Why does the crowd repeated everything a speaker says?
because megaphones are not permitted, the crowd repeats what the speaker says when they pause so that everyone gets the message..its called something, i just cant remember right now
They are using The Peoples Voice.
Obviously some form of mind-control, right? Anything called "The People's Voice" must have some kind of totalitarian purpose right? (/snark)
The diarist then, seemingly not realizing that s/he has just dismantled his/her own ridiculous pretenses; starts talking about his/her parrot. The #OWS people sound just like the parrot, apparently. "They are merely parroting talking points and catch phrases they’ve heard and repeated over and over and over again. This explains why the majority of them cannot cannot coherently explain why they are there or what exactly they are protesting, beyond parroting those catch phrases". What a load of bull! They sound like, you know, protestors. If I may be so bold it bears a slight resemblence to the Tea-Partiers themselves. You know, exercising their First Amendment rights.
Obviously this examply is pretty small cheese, only got 14 comments. But it was on their Front Page.
I think it represents fear. Not fear of the protestors or the protests directly; but fear, in short, that the protestors are on the side of what is good and right for our country. They (conservatives) just don't know how to cope with that. Must be mind-control bahaha
