This article by Bloomberg says it all better then I could ever hope to improve upon. It deserves to be read in full on it's own.
My only question is: If the Kochs and their U.S lawyers, as claimed in the article, deliberately and methodically conspired with senior management to trade with Iran after it was outlawed is that treason?
