This is my second post about The Concert in Support of Occupy Wall Street.  The first post was here.

This post and the comments will focus on selecting venues for The Concert in Support of OWS.  My thinking is that we should have a concert in each and every city/town/hamlet that is holding an OWS solidarity event.

Thus, we need to identify potential venues in each city.  And we need your help!

New York is pretty easy because there are so many venues.  I think many of them will be sympathetic to the cause and should agree to hold shows on one night or over a weekend.  Also in NYC I believe CMJ is coming to town shortly so this idea could get legs pretty quickly and we might soon see a series of acts performing solidarity concerts at a number of different venues.

Nontheless, I will begin to list the venues here for New York as an example of the type of list I would like to generate for each city.  If you could leave suggestions for venues, venue size, and contact information for the venue or promoter in the comments, then I will add it to the list in the main diary or in future posts.  I will also add cities and towns as they become available or as you list them.

The Blender - 200 seats, Contact Info: ?

Bowery Ballroom - ? seats, Contact Info:?

Irving Plaza - 250 seats/SRO, Contact Info: ?

Webster Hall - SRO capacity 1200, Contact Info: ?

Brooklyn Bowl - ? seats, Contact Info:

The Bell Jar - ? seats, Contact Info:

You get the idea.  Post the info and I'll post it.  I'll also begin adding more cities and towns.

I would attend a Concert in Support of Occupy Wall Street in my community.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
