Ontario voted today, the results are striking in the regional polarizations.

The Liberals are one seat shy of a majority. An outcome that is unprecedented since 1867, the year of confederation.
The regional disparities are striking: Far north went for the New Democratic Party (NDP) and one large Liberal region, the suburbs and the wealthy near North voted for the Progressive Conservatives (PC's, closest we have to the Republicans) and the cities split, mostly Liberal and significant NDP.
Let the Horse trading begin!
I expect the Liberals will try to entice an elected NDP member to switch parties in exchange for a cabinet seat. If that does not happen, it's possible that the Ontario Liberals and NDP will negotiate to have a coalition majority. The next few days/week/month will be very interesting.
Stay tuned......more to come.
