Today was a lovely day in Charlotte, NC. Temps in the low 70's, low humidity, full sunshine. A perfect day to join the Occupy Charlotte protests with a march on our very own home-grown shrine to corporate excess: Bank of America headquarters. Charged my camera battery, loaded up the spousal and canine units, and headed uptown.
It was an amazing experience! Without further babbling, here it is in pictures.
In the belly of the beast...
A fine day for a protest.
Bank of America Corporate center ... Mr. Yuk, indeed!
The protests were lively but peaceful.
There was a significant police presence, but everyone was respectful. A good day to be out and enjoying our fair city.
Meanwhile, these ladies liveblogged an interview ...
And this lady kept it on message.
But this was my favorite lady of all! I want to be just like the Old Broad when I grow up ...
We, the 99%, made our voices heard in Charlotte today. I'm happy and proud to have been a part of it.
Left turn ahead ...
