If anyone listens to Cantor speak, in almost every context, it’s clear he hasn’t the faintest idea of what the Constitution means. He’s the epitome of the professional politician who has been the puppet of special interests, investment and hedge fund managers for over a decade. Even if he doesn’t read the Constitution, maybe he could have read the First Amendment which clearly states: “Congress shall make no law...abridging the freedom of speech…or the right of the people peaceably to assemble…”
Eric Cantor’s Donations By Industry
Source: Open Secrets
At the “Values Voter Summit” in Washington last week, Mr Cantor said that he was “…increasingly concerned about the growing mobs occupying Wall Street.” Apparently, at this juncture of his political career, the Constitution is irrelevant to what he considers the “bedrock principles” of our country. Mr. Cantor, peaceful assembly and free speech are the bedrock principles of this country. The OWS demonstrators are exercising their rights under the Constitution. Assembly is the most direct exercise of their constitutional rights in our democracy.
Among the protesters are Americans out of work, struggling to make ends meet, trying to keep their homes from foreclosure, or just letting go of their hope of ever achieving their American dream. The OWS demonstrators are seeking economic justice while Cantor simply continues the march of a coward, hiding behind his position of power, funded by the very forces who created the economic morass that resulted in the economic distress the “the other 99%” experience every day. It is the peaceful demonstrator who is the American hero, and it is Cantor and his Wall Street colleagues who are the radical anti-American enemies of our people against whom we must struggle every day.

Yes to Corporate Special Interests, No to American Jobs
Early this morning, news broke that a top aide to House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) was leaving Cantor’s staff to form a new “Super PAC” to suck up unlimited cash from corporations, right-wing billionaires, and anyone else who might seek to influence one of the most powerful Republicans in Washington.
Make no mistake about it, I support the OWS peaceful demonstrators and what they stand for. I don’t condemn all of Wall Street, only the ruthless greed of those that routinely choose profits over the well being of our economy. The first order of business for me when I’m elected is to demand investigation and prosecution of those on Wall Street who committed crimes. After November 6, 2012 (when Cantor gets his new job on “K” Street with his true constituents - his ‘mob’) the 7th District will have in me a voice of economic justice and opportunity, not an empty echo.
