4:00pm: Interesting info in this article about #OccupyLA:
Nationally, Occupy Congress and Occupy the Pentagon are reportedly in the works, as is an international coalition of millions of activists who plan to swarm the city of Cannes in November where the G-20 heads of government will discuss financial markets and the world economy. At Occupy LA, excitement mounts. "Stayed tuned," said Joe Briones, "because important things are about to happen."

Here is what Jose Vasquez, executive director of Iraq Veterans Against the War, told Amy Good man on Monday night:
"It's no secret that a lot of veterans are facing unemployment, homelessness and a lot of other issues that are dealing with the economy. A lot of people get deployed multiple times and are still struggling … I've met a lot of veterans who have come here. I just met a guy who is active duty, took leave just to come to Occupy Wall Street."

Moderator Training Offered in IRC
Infinity circle from the original Occupy Wall Street livestream is offering training for other moderators in an IRC. He’s noticed there are some serious problems with users spamming, soliciting, or hijacking the movement. He’ll be on the channel as often as possible to answer questions about moderating, go over proper moderator etiquette, and fill you in on some techniques he’s learned over the last three weeks. It would be great to have everyone who is heading up moderation to touch base with him, so pass this along amongst your group!
2:49pm: Some pics on the ground last night at #OccupyHartford from m16eib:
2:29pm:
There was a clash between veterans and police officers at Occupy Boston, a protest inspired by the Occupy Wall Street protests in New York City. The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks it down.
2:19pm: I wonder if they are related to Billionaires for Wealthcare? :)
Laura Flanders interviews a group posing as "Billionaires" at the Occupy Wall Street rebellion in New York City.
2:16pm: I have not seen any livestream activity this morning in NYC. The rain might have something to do with that.
2:10pm: Laura Flanders on The Uptake at Zuccotti interviewing Jeff Madrick, author of Age of Greed.
"Try to get a job if you're in your twenties... you just can't get a job in this economy and if we have the double dip it will only get worse..."
[ re: BBC interview trader ]
"These traders bec they can push securities around, derivatives around.. they can make money out of crisis... more and more evidence that speculation is behind... crisis"
"It's time for a tax on transactions to reduce some of this speculation"
"Our treasury sec dismissed the idea almost immediately. that was another Obama admin error..." Says this movement can help with that, public opinion can fuel it.
2:07pm: Anonymous video uploaded to YouTube last night:
2:04pm:
- Office cleaners will protest in NYC financial district (organized by SEIU)
- OccupyWallStreet will protest at JP Morgan Chase (Chase Plaza) at 3pm

TheWrap: And what do you see happening next?
"We don't know what the next step is. The next step is we're gonna see what happens. It's kind of like, you know, if you were the person who made "Bonnie and Clyde" or "Easy Rider," or if you were Dylan and you put out your first album. It's so shocking to people. Go back and read the New York Times review of "Dr. Strangelove." They did not know what the hell it was.
"If you look at the first news reports from three plus weeks ago, it was just hippies beating on bongo drums, and it was being dismissed. Well, they're not writing those stories anymore."

Volcker Rule Unveiled as U.S. Curbs Wall Street Bets
Wall Street banks will have three months to convince regulators to weaken a proposed ban on their ability to trade for their own profit, after officials on Tuesday put the Volcker rule out for comment.
1:09pm: Mayor Reed responds to Occupy Atlanta protestors
Mayor Kasim Reed said he understands the protestors' frustration.
"I think that people wanted focus and attention and passion on jobs, and I think that the group Occupy Wall Street really is the other end of the spectrum," he said.
[ ... ]
The mayor's office has said the protestors will be given a chance to leave peacefully, but did not say how long or if the city would take action.
12:52pm:
Via The Atlantic, Eliot Spitzer:
"You know what I would like to see?" Spitzer asked the crowd. "I'd like to see a petition with a hundred million signatures, submitted to the White House tomorrow morning, saying, 'Give us a treasury secretary who understands reform.' Bring Paul Volcker in. Bring in Joe Stiglitz. Bring in Paul Krugman. Bring in Robert Reich. People who understand what can be done and are willing to flex their muscles in a meaningful way."

Countless times the media has described the Occupy movement as “young, overeducated and underemployed,” but the group I saw in Fort Collins was nearly the opposite.
10:15am: Charlie Grapski requests:
Please, if you have not already, read the following story and analysis of the evidenceof the attempts to discredit the Occupy Movement in the media. It is essential that we spread this evidence and analysis as far as we can and put pressure on the media to not only correct their earlier stories but to be less hasty and zealous to jump to conclusions in the upcoming weeks and months. I have made some proposals for discussion of the above evidence and what WE can do about it at the following diary. Please join the conversation as well as spreading the the evidence far and wide by sharing, tweeting, recommending, posting to facebook, and contacting media with the above story/evidentiary analysis.
Thank you, Charlie

Rec list diary by fromcascadia highlights a diary that is going viral titled: "I AM NOT MOVING - Short Film - Occupy Wall Street", a seven minute film which uses the words of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama in the background talking about Arab Spring while showing footage of protests at #OccupyWallStreet and around the world. The hypocrisy is clearly illustrated. The video was uploaded yesterday and has more than 11,000 views right now.

Protest pointers with Eric Cantor
10:00am: From angelajean in the comments: "CNN finally catches on - it's not about demands:"
http://money.cnn.com/...
A demand list of sorts has appeared on the official Occupy Wall Street page, serving as an ever-changing document on which people can comment with their own suggestions. It has also served as fodder for critics like Fox News, which posted a version of the list and suggested that readers "try not to laugh."
But no list has been endorsed by the "general assembly" at Occupy Wall Street, says press team member Mark Bray, who added that "making a list of three or four demands would have ended the conversation before it started."
Occupy Wall Street has already achieved what it set out to do.

9:02am: From the OccupyWallSt.org web site yesterday, a statement of solidarity with #OccupyBoston and this paragraph:
THIS IS WHAT A POLICE STATE LOOKS LIKE
And we are what democracy looks like. We do not fear your power and we will continue to fight for a better world. We will never stop growing and each day we'll continue to expand, block by block and city by city. We call upon others to join us, to take a stand against these ever encroaching threats to our liberty. We commend the brave actions of our sisters and brothers in Boston and condemn the BPD leadership. We call upon the rank-and-file police officers of this country to disobey such orders and remember that they protect and serve the people. You are one of us, the 99% and we're too big to fail.
9:00am: Livestream is still broadcasting older footage and various videos. The collection of video footage that they have been broadcasting is growing.
8:57am: Occupy Wall Street protests come to London
8:52am: Bloomberg commented on the Billionaire's Walk yesterday:
“I don’t know what that achieves. Jamie Dimon is a honorable person working very hard, pays his taxes. A lot of people make an awful lot of money - you have athletes and actors make a lot of money, and you have business people who make a lot of money.”
“Jamie Dimon is one of the great bankers. He’s brought more business to this city than any modern banker.”
[ ... ]
“As for the people downtown, I certainly understand the frustrations that many have with the economy.”
“Having said that I don’t appreciate the bashing of all of the hard-working people who live and work here and pay the taxes that support our city. The reality is that our city depends on the jobs the financial services provides. The taxes that industry pays our teachers, our police officers, our firefighters.”
