The Denver capitol protest (see occupydenver.org ) has been growing for weeks. I happened to wake up at 3:30 AM and turned on the local right wing radio station KHOW AM 630 (one of many in CO) and they are reporting live from the camp where police moved in around midnight.

I have a slow connection so can't do much. I'll have to try to ad links in a bit.

There are riot guns and billy clubs drawn.

The local RW radio stations have been pressuring Dem Gov Hickenlooper to clean out the demonstrators and he has given the orders.

KHOW 630 has Hannity and Beck, among others, later in the day. Local right winger (moderate pretender) Peter Boyles is there live to report.

KHOW is sister station to 850 KOA which is the grand right wing station in CO. KOA is the home of local Ayn Randian tool Mike Rosen (9AM) who is followed Rush Limbaugh (12 AM MST) and Mike Brown (doing a heck of a job Brownie- FEMA head from Katrina) and broadcasts the Broncos, Rockies, and (shame on University of Colorado) Buffs.

AM 760 is the progressive station and I don't think they have the resources to be there live. David Sirota should be reporting on it starting this morning on that station- not  sure when he starts ...6 or 7 AM.

4AM: Peter Boyles (walking a line between a moderate facade and long time local right wing tool) reporting "this is going to get good" as cop cars are moving toward protestors laying in the street.

I am temporarily in the Boulder area, am immobile, and am not affiliated with occupydenver.org.

4:40 AM MST update by Peter Boyles: everything looking good, everything dismantled, no violence.

As I said i have a slow connection, taking 10 min to load DKos front page.

Okay, here are a couple of previous posts:

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
