If memory serves us correctly the Tea Party was allowed unfettered access to assemble and to disrupt town hall meetings. Why such a double standard? The answer is quite easy considering the Tea Party was funded by Wall Street and the wealthy who control this country.
The best thing about the Occupy Wall Street movement is that they do not have any shady funders and resemble what a real grassroots movement is all about. The message has been sent that no matter the obstacle we the 99% are going to have our voice heard. We are tired of being held hostage to the top one percent of this nation who are greedily manipulating our government for their own desires.
For some reason I thought our Constitution provided the right to assemble, but I guess that doesn’t apply in Colorado. Last night around three in the morning police besieged the tent city set up by Occupy Wall Street protestors confiscating all of their tents and kicking them off the park grounds.
Stand with Heartland emPOWERED as we continue to build the grassroots army that honest progressive candidates need. Anything you can do within this movement makes the difference to make 2012 the year of the 99%.
