Presidential candidate Herman Cain has very little detail about his 999 plan on his website.
I,like many of you, have several questions about the 9% sales tax portion of his plan.
Here is what I want to know. Will the 9% sales tax apply to the following items:
1. My purchases of prescription drugs?
2. My purchases of food?
3. My purchases of clothing?
4. My purchases of health care services?
5. My utility bill?
6. My rent or mortgage payment?
7. My car payment?
8. Tuition someone pays to receive higher education?
9. My purchases of gasoline?
10. My purchases on the internet?
11. My purchases of tickets to sporting events or concerts?
12. My purchases of drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) at bars?
13. My purchases of newspapers?
14. My purchases of textbooks?
And on and on. This plan had better answer these questions.
I think we all know that Herman Cain will not be the Republican nominee, but we should all wonder why no one asks Herman Cain any of these questions. No one asks them at the debates or in the media. I guess everyone assumes he won't win so why waste their time.
