NYMag:
Yesterday, the House Majority Leader was slated to give a speech on income inequality — more on that later — at the Ivy League school's well-respected Wharton business school, but canceled after being informed that the first 300 people to arrive would be admitted and there was a good chance they would all be Occupy Philadelphia protesters.
No big surprise here. When you're a spoiled, entitled little bully wannabe, your true nature and courage only comes through when you're confronted with questions you can't answer - and an audience you can't win over easily. As we can see, Eric Cantor is too frightened, shallow and small to even attempt to have a two-way discussion.
This man is the worst of the worst in our government. His values and beliefs are counter to the rest of the country, yet he's intent on using his power - not the people's mandate - to lead this country the way HE feels it should go.
Unfortunately, we have such a overwhelming cache of cowards in Congress and Senate who can't stand up for the rest of us. Hopefully all that will change at this next election. ore than hopeful. It HAS to.
