Where on a map of Massachusetts will the key areas to watch for in 2012 Warren vs Brown race?
Boston, and all the other largest towns are dark blue. bershire county and the college towns are dark blue. I think the suburban strip mall areas outside of Worchester, Springfield, Boston, and etc are more bluish-purple. Those hold the balance. Furthermore, some counties have a lot more independents such as Worchester, Barnstable, Plymouth, and Norfolk.
Ted kennedy was always seen as a fighter of the people. His message resonated strongly with Democrats, independents, women, men, young, old, urban, suburban, and rural. Hence, he easily earned their votes. There are always thousands of conservatives and "insanity" republicans in almost every state. Their votes plus independents' votes and low Democratic turnout can propel a republican to office. Maryland is a blue state which elected Ehrlich once because of a terrible Democratic nominee "Kathleen kennedy townsend".
