Hi community.
Most of us know what wonderful work Sara R and her sister Ann have done for this community. In her most recent diary she takes you on beautiful journey through their new quilt assembled to hang in kos' new reception area.
Please read and rec. this diary; the comment from kos is worthy of our attention!
I asked Sara R in the comments if they were in need of anything and below is her response:
Actually, I do have a need. I need to collect on some quilts that are in progress -- and maybe I need to do a diary on this? November is a perfect storm of bills -- when they all hit at once. Plus, Ann and I are both taking care of ourselves so we have some medical expenses. And we learned this morning that one of our kitties is ill -- so she is at the vet. So if the community can help out by getting these quilts funded, it will help us a lot.
I need to collect $49 for princesspat's quilt -- PayPal link for princesspat's quilt
$227 is owing for SensibleShoes' quilt (I have not collected all the messages yet so there will be another diary for her) - PayPal link for SensibleShoes' quilt
And I need to collect $136 for Patriot Daily News Clearinghouse's quilt. We've got all her messages already. PayPal link for Patriot Daily News Clearinghouse's quilt
If anybody would like to chip in on these, it would be a big help!
The Community Quilt Project now has a website! And so do the Pootie Pads -- everypootie needs a Pootie Pad!

Sara R and I go back a ways. She is one of the most giving and caring persons I have had the pleasure of getting to know in this community. At one point, Sara R has helped our family by not only assembling a quilt but by assisting us with her knowledge of the insurance industry. My husband and I felt it was important to donate some money to acknowledge their hard work on the Community Quilt Project but also in thanks for the advice and friendship she had offered us. I came to know that she used the money to tune up her sewing machine and I remember thinking how easy it is to forget there are many needs for she and her sister in this endeavor that we may not be aware of.
Please consider contributing to Sara R and her sister Ann in thanks for all they do. You will find the paypal links in her comment above for 3 different community quilt projects. And if you can, toss a little more in for their medical bills, their vet bill and just as a "thank you".
