It was a close call for John Boehner when Occupy Wall Street came up on
ABC's This Week, but he managed to avoid bawling.
Apparently not doing a single damn thing to create a job while
reaffirming that the national motto is "In God We Trust"
qualifies as doing a great job to John Boehner:
President Barack Obama has been urging Congress lately to get to work on helping the economy, most recently calling out Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and mocking the House for voting on approval of the phrase "In God We Trust."
According to the speaker, though, Congress is operating accordingly.
“Listen, the founders gave us a committee of 535 people," Boehner said in an interview aired Sunday on ABC's "This Week." "Frankly, it was designed not to work. My job is to make it work. And it is working."
Yeah, it's working. It's working real hard. And next year it'll be working even harder:
This year
Cooperstown. Next year
Canton.
