I am a goober to infinity & beyond because I can't read a calendar & don't know my days of the week; I blame senility & the fact my work is making me look like this these days. :)
Tonight will be the final TRMS diary until Friday, November 18; my extra sleep will need to begin tomorrow night since freshmen registration for spring classes begins bright & early at 7:00 (*&^%$#@!) the next morning.
Tomorrow is Election Day, so, even if you have to hold your nose like I'll have to, get out there & exercise your right that so many are trying to take away from so many Americans! Check local listings, but the weather in my fair city is supposed to be decent tomorrow, so local FOKRs can't use that excuse! :)
Let's move on to "this day in history." On this date in 1893, passage of a referendum made Colorado the first state to grant women the right to vote. Colorado, huh? Go figure!
On this date in 1916, Republican Jeannette Rankin of Montana became the first woman elected to Congress. The GOBP?! $HIT!! ;D Too bad most of the GOBP women these days are more like this one.
For the sake of my sanity, let's not delve into what happened on this date in 2000, OK?
On with The Rachel Maddow Show...
"Bread and Circuses" - A Howard Stern dude took over some presser? Was it the same presser as Sharon Bielek or a "lead in" for her presser? HA! It was! Lordy...How did he get past security?! Keith didn't include this detail. ;D Now, "Herb"'s using Gloria Allred to fundraise. And, the campaign is BRAGGING about all the money they've gotten since the alleged accusations came out. "Herb"'s trying to downplay the Kochtopus campaign finance thing, too. And, we get to hear that lovely speech again about "brotherhood." *&^%$#@! Jack Abramoff's out of jail now & plugging a book giving dirty details about "conservative activism." Tim Phillips, 1 of Jack's dudes, heads up a Kochtopus group. Ralph Reed managed to link big oil to "faith" in IA.
"Unpopulism" - And, here's Governor Former FAUX News Employee again who will hopefully have his a$$ handed to him tomorrow on the hated SB5. OH citizens are having buyer's remorse. I wonder how many OH voters didn't vote in that election that elected that boil on the butt of humanity? $aint $arah from Wasilla's lending her name to the cause? So is Pat Boone & Mike Huckabee. Well, Mikey & the Governor used to be coworkers. ;D He's also telling people that if they know people who are going to vote against SB5 to let the air out of their tires, tell them the election's a different day, etc. CLASSY! *&^%$#@! Connie Schultz wrote about Mikey's voting advice. She's telling people to not get over - confident & to actually SHOW UP AT THE DAMN POLLS tomorrow. She thinks what happens in OH tomorrow will be a good prediction of the 2012 election. Well, I hope things turn out OK! A whole mess of people are getting involved in the political process that never have before because they're so pi$$ed off.
"Decision 2011" - Rachel gave us a review of the few good points of the 2010 election. That personhood thing is on the ballot in MS tomorrow. Ugh, and it'll probably pass. An amendment of this type got nixed in CO twice - by a wide margin! Gag, look at that polling. Why am I not surprised. MS also has a voter ID thing on their ballott. Citizens of Maine are trying to get their same - day registration back tomorrow. The VA state house is up for grabs along with a couple other states. Rachel didn't mention my fair city electing a mayor! ;D
"Promised Land" - I celebrated Bank Transfer Day by doing graduation audits. ;D Rachel reviewed the same Bank Transfer Day stats that Countdown did. Donations are being used for Occupy ads. There was a big 'ol march in NYC today! Bishop Gene Robinson was in that march today & is in studio tonight. He saw God in the park today! :) He thinks people are mourning the "every man for himself" mentality. Or, like the GOBP thinks, "I've got mine, so up yours!" Bishop Robinson was in Occupy activities in NH last weekend.
"Debunktion Junction" - Some crappers are weapons - like the mofo chemical ones on the mofo planes! Neato! ;D J. Edgar Hoover did call a reporter a "lice covered ferret." And, does anyone else besides me NOT SEE Leo DeCaprio as J. Edgar Hoover?! He was a damn twisted mother.
