OccupyToronto #occTO
RT @CBCAlerts: Occupy Toronto wins injunction to stop eviction from park . City can’t enforce midnight eviction notice.
The Judge has until Saturday evening to decide.
I am following the twitter feeds, and a Toronto Star liveblog this morning, these actions by many cities against the Occupy movement at seemingly the exact same time are just another odd occurrence. (?)
OccupyToronto has just gotten their eviction notices, they had just returned from here:
A group of Occupy Toronto protesters marched on the Toronto offices of Brookfield Properties, the owners of Zucotti Park in New York.
Occupy Wall Street protesters were cleared out of their tent city overnight. The Toronto march, with a few dozen participants, arrived at the offices at 181 Bay St. via King St. around 8: 40 a.m.
There were an estimated 25 protesters in the financial district, carrying signs and banners declaring solidarity with NYC protesters. They were on the move again just before 10 a.m., marching at times on the sidewalk and others on the roadway, blocking traffic.
Bicycle police officers are standing by.
The Canadian Press is reporting that Toronto is soon to fall in line with Halifax, London and Saskatoon and evict the Occupy protesters from St. James Park.
The Canadian Civil Liberties Association sent this letter to the Mayor of Toronto on the 10th.
No word on whether he called 911 to be abusive at them, and hid under his desk when it was delivered. (A Canadian joke, much like the mayor himself)

At the moment, there are just bylaw officers handing out and taping up notices.
RT @nowtoronto: Police spokesperson also tells NOW it's unclear at this point who will enforce eviction notices bylaw officers or cops....
Will keep this updated if anything happens in the next few hours.
