First, brothers and sisters of the revolution, let me humbly congratulate you for your success. The Occupy movement has rattled the cages of the criminal plutocrats. They have taken notice, and they are fearful. That's why they have overreacted and send the police-cum-corporate-goons to brutalize the good people rising against oppression.
Right now, the plutocratic tools in government, which is comprised of the Republican and Democratic party establishment, are moving fast to try to complete the implementation of the fascist infrastructure they have been building during the last 10-plus years, starting with the PATRIOT Act, on down. They are moving to take control of the Internet in order to prevent the exercise of freedom of speech and assembly.
They are building a massive for-profit detention system that may eventually be used against protesters. Fascist government officials, like GOP Rep. Pete King (NY), in his role as Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, are busy demonizing the Occupy movement, setting the stage for an eventual brutal crackdown.
They will fail. Democracy will be restored. The (peaceful) revolution will end the reign of criminality by a plutocratic class, imposed on the rest of society. The people are too big to fail, especially if we are united.
There can't be any let up on the pressure. To the contrary, it needs to be escalated, and sustained, big time. This will be a long and arduous struggle, and we need to be ready for it.
If we stop now, we will end up living in a veritable Banana Republic, where you have two classes of people: The smug and exploitative super-rich, and the poor, weighted down, controlled, oppressed, and enslaved. No way!
Every person who has been brutalized by this criminal system needs to join with others and aim their energy, and anger, and passion for justice, to those who caused the oppression; like a laser beam.
I've been calling for these next steps for quite some time now, and I'm starting to see that it is something that is being embraced by the movement. Here's what AdBusters is calling for in their Tactical Briefing #19:
Now begins the second, visceral, canny, militant phase of our nonviolent march to real democracy. We regroup, lick our wounds and begin our counterattack as early as tomorrow.
We will turn this winter into a training ground for precision disruptions – flashmobs, stink bombs, edgy theatrics – against the megacorps and the unrepentant 1%, a festival of resistance in the snow with, or without, an encampment that'll lay the tactical foundation for our Spring Offensive.

That's the way to go... I'm sure that right now the lobbyists an executives of private prison camps around the country are licking their chops in anticipation of a huge increase of arrests of Occupy protesters. They've already cornered the market for inhumane detention of immigrants, but you know how these corporations work: constant growth, and increased market share. Occupy protesters, in their eyes, are probably the next natural market.
Although I expect that as the resistance movement becomes more successful, the government will quickly enact a growing number of draconian laws meant to stifle the uprising, there are things we can do to achieve the goal of stopping the criminal machine, utilizing the protection of (what is left) of the Constitution.
The next logical step (in my view) is a sustained, relentless, well-organized, and disciplined "targeted, distributed, rapid disruption," as follows:
Target
Identify financial and government nerve centers across the country. Identify the richest zip codes in the country. Identify where "bribery meetings" such as high-price political fund-raising events are going to happen. Identify any type of high-end, opulent event attended by the super-wealthy are going to happen. Do this long-term, relentlessly updating the "database."
Distributed
Create resistance movement leadership (or facilitators, if you like) near the targeted locations, and set up a very well-organized network between these leaders/facilitators. Then coordinate actions. The actions need to be constant, daily, weekly, non-stop, relentless.
Disruption
Scenario: (Friday) A Gala in New York city where members of the oppressive plutocrats are expected to attend; (Tuesday) a meeting of the University of California regents where they are expected to vote to increase tuition one more time; (Monday) lobbyists going to their offices on K Street in Washington, D.C. You have anywhere from one hundred, to thousands (if possible) ready for the "disruption" call. They are distributed near the "target." The "command" by the facilitators goes out: OCCUPY. And before you know it, you have a huge flash mob shutting down the system, disrupting the bribery meetings, and the high-end opulent event, and K Street.
When the police is called, everybody disperses, trying to avoid arrest (the private incarceration camps lobbyists an executives would be disappointed).
Then the "flash-mob" appears at another (city nerve center), and another, and another. And this happens, in New York, in LA, in Chicago, in Boston.
At the same time, the Occupy media team works on the public relations front, explaining to the public why these actions are necessary; work on getting the support of more high-profile people; work on fund-raising. We could get the entire middle class involved; some foot "soldiers" and the rest supporting them (with donations, services, etc).
What are the demands? It's incredible that at this stage anybody would not know, but I suggest people read the latest diary by MoT.
Until we restore democracy, the rule of law, and end the tyranny and corruption that's literally killing us.
