Egyptians are breathing in American made tear gas from a company, Combined Systems Inc. (CSI) based in Jamestown, Pennsylvania. Protesters say the stuff is stronger and its effects nastier than what they are used to:
Protesters say the CS gas seems more powerful than that used by Egyptian police during the country's last popular uprising in February. "It's stronger, it burns your face, it makes you feel like your whole body is seizing up," one witness said. He added: "It doesn't seem to be combated by Coke or vinegar."
Guess this is at least one instance in which American corporations weren't, er, lazy, Mr. President.
In fact, global American sales of weapons isn't being conducted by couch potatoes.
It would be interesting to know the manufacturer of the nasty pepper spray that's been used on American civilians the last couple of months. Any thoughts?
Apparently though, the Egyptians have come up with a relatively easy remedy. Hopefully this works on the nasty American made tear gas as well:
