You collected over 300,000 recall signatures in the first 12 days!
Dear JVolvo,
This number will be released to the public soon, but as supporter of United Wisconsin, we wanted you to be among the first to know - you collected over 300,000 signatures to recall Scott Walker in the first 12 days!
The energy and enthusiasm for this recall has been incredible. Over 300,000 signatures in 12 days – that is over 1,040 signatures an hour!
Scott Walker has taken to the airwaves, supported by millions in corporate cash, to defend his record of job loss and full-scale assault on Wisconsin's institutions and values. In all 72 counties, people are seeing through Walker's deceptions and are moving to take back our state.
This is an amazing accomplishment, and we need you to keep this grassroots movement going - we have a long way to go before Walker is out of office.
Please visit our website today to download the petition to collect more signatures, sign up to volunteer, get United Wisconsin signs, stickers and t-shirts, and make a contribution to help fuel our efforts for the coming weeks and months.

Thank you for all you have done to reach this important milestone. 50 Days to go!
Sincerely,
United Wisconsin
The recall drive was officially engaged Tues Nov 15th at 12:01 am. We have 60 days to gather and submit 540,206 signatures, one-fourth the amount of all the ballots cast last November. Our goal is to far exceed this and gather at least 750,000 petitions signatures. We are kickin' it!

Our work is not done yet, so to all of the passionate volunteers who have been collecting signatures throughout the state: Keep it up!!! And if you want to join the efforts, please do so. It can be as easy as printing the petitions and asking a few friends to sign. Or maybe you want to volunteer at one of the recall stations. There are opportunities for everyone!
One activist, who blogs under the name BattiestGrrl (here's her website; JV) has set a personal goal of collecting 1,000 signatures. She hits the streets of Oshkosh to collect signatures whenever she can, and updates her blog to let us all know how her efforts are going. BattiestGrrl has even recruited a few friends who are also aiming to complete the “1,000 Signature Recall Challenge”.
Margaret from Madison wrote about her experience collecting signatures near her family’s cabin in southwest Wisconsin. She received overwhelmingly positive responses from most of the people she talked to. Her neighbors are concerned about Walker’s cuts to education and health care, and the new law that makes it harder to vote.

WALKER RECALL EFFORT SAYS 300,000 SIGNATURES IN
By SCOTT BAUER, Associated Press – 24 minutes ago
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Organizers of the effort to recall Wisconsin Republican Gov. Scott Walker from office said Monday they have collected 300,000 signatures, more than half of what is needed to force an election.
The United Wisconsin coalition needs 540,208 signatures by Jan. 17 to force a recall election sometime in 2012. They reported Monday that over half the number needed had been collected in just 12 days, with signatures coming in from all 72 Wisconsin counties.
The recall drive was motivated by anger over Walker's proposal effectively ending collective bargaining rights for most public workers. The law passed in March despite massive protests and the fleeing of all 14 Democratic state senators to Illinois for three weeks.
