File this in the only-in-America corporate greed and public relations stupidity folder. US Airways, the airline that once tried to charge us for the right to consume potable water on its planes, is now telling a terminal breast cancer patient that she can't get a refund for the tickets to Belize her family purchased to celebrate her last recovery (the cancer has returned):
Now, the airline isn't being completely unreasonable -- they're allowing her to make transferable the vouchers they provided instead of a refund. Pretty sadistic gesture to make to a terminal cancer patient, huh?
How about we let the Phoenix, AZ-based airline know how Kos bloggers respond to corporate greed and cruelty? Here's the contact information for the one-percenters at US Airways.
Post in the comments if you call or email, and the response that you get.
And, of course, let's keep the McKain family in our thoughts and prayers.
