I have decided to start quite an ambitious project. I believe I am quite capable of accomplishing this work, and whether I am or not I will try.
The project I have decided to work on started as a simple plan, but evolved into one of greater difficulty.
At first I decided to write an essay on what certain founders would feel about the Occupy Movement. I started the work and completed my section on Thomas Jefferson, then started one on Thomas Paine. I took a short break while getting my mind ready for my interview for the 2012 Progressive Leadership fellowship in Philly. I decided to take another day for thanksgiving.
On my way back from NY, I had a revelation of sorts. I started to think about my reading from that morning of I Thessalonian chapter 5 and my doubts vanished. I found myself sitting in the backseat of the car pouring out the introduction and first essay of my new work.
I have decided that my ambitious work would be in the spirit of one of the most important collection of essays in American History. Those essays are known as the Federalist Papers. The great works of three great minds arguing for the ratification of the constitution of the United States. My work, in that same spirit argues for the progressive interpretation of that document and the defense of those who are occupying the streets of our country.
These occupiers have been said to have a message that lacks clarity, I will try to put some clarity of the message through a series of essays that I will call the Occupy Papers. That is the preliminary title for this work.
I am hoping to complete this work within the next month, or the end of January at the latest. I will be posting various blogs through the journey of this work and will probably not be able to put up as many of my other blogs. However, I will try my best to keep up with both. May God keep inspiring me to continue this work. I shall make that mountain move, nothing will stop me.
Introduction for the Occupy Papers at more to come.
