It's that time again.
We have spent many months waiting for the Christmas season.
But our attempts to understand the rituals have failed.
We tried to install some new traditions to make it more inclusive for our kind, but we were unsuccessful.
So we tried to play along.
We put our name into the hat for Secret Santa.
We greeted the constant stream of guests in our usual welcoming manner.
We dressed in our Sunday best for the annual family greeting card.
We played their family games.
And sang their songs.
We were full of Christmas cheer.
But we found that our idea of holiday fun was not catching on.
We have come to the only reasonable conclusion.
It's on!
