I met causebass in a comment thread. I mean it, that's where everything happens. I immediately thought, another Kossack that plays music. Cause I'm always looking for Kossacks that we can listen to on Protest Tuesday.
So, causebass. We're all listening to you!
Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues
One of my favorite Dylan songs.
more cause ...
I asked causebass to give me some dirt but this is all I got.
We have been playing since 2003, we all have full time jobs, Pappy is a sales manager for a local Nissan dealer, Jill is at Carnegie Mellon Univ as a major donor fundraising, Mike Tony is a counselor for children at Pittsburgh Action Against Rape (PAAR), Mike South owns his own print shop and sound company. I am a financial advisor with Ameriprise. The boys have been deadheads for years, I am the oldest in the band and saw my first GD show in 1971. Eric played in a great GD band called Double Dose for years in eastern PA. Mike South and Mike "tourpro" Tony played in Left for Dead in Pittsburgh, they still get together a couple times a year. Jill has just got on the bus recently, she sang primarily blues before joining us. She just came back from seeing Furthur in NYC and Atlantic City and is now a huge fan of jamband music. She really can tear into the vocals on our tunes, her Sugaree is killer. Next week on Nov 25th we play as "Reubens Painted Mandolin" and do a whole evening of Jerry Band Tunes, and on Dec 17th we are going to do a complete GD show (kinda like DSO)
So they've all got day jobs and they play music because they love it! My kind of people.
Mr. Charlie
Mr. Charlie features Jill Paone Simmons on vocals. Got to love it.
