Chris Christie was out campaigning in West Des Moines, Iowa last night for Mitt Romney at the corporate headquarters for Kum & Go stores. (Jesus, who came up with that name?) A few minutes into his speech, the Occupiers mic checked him and it was all downhill for him after that. For the first time, Chris Christie was speechless.
Well, worse than speechless -- sputtering fragmented sentences.
It was so bad, that people are disappearing that part of the event from YouTube videos. Ha!
N.J. Gov. Christie gets "Occupied" in Iowa
WEST DES MOINES, Iowa - The event was designed to advance the campaign of Mitt Romney, but it couldn't have been less Romney-esque. There were hecklers, confrontations with the audience, and plenty of references to New Jersey, and its governor, Chris Christie.
The Garden State governor was the evening's headliner at a campaign event for Romney, whom Christie has endorsed for the presidential nomination. But within minutes of Christie's entrance on a stage at the headquarters of Kum & Go, an Iowa-based gas station and convenience store chain, protesters took over the room, commandeering a microphone and surrounding Christie.
"Mic Check: Mitt Romney and Chris Christie serve the corporate 1 percent," they chanted. "Bust up big banks / make Wall Street pay / Put people first."
Gov. Christie heckled in Iowa while campaigning for Mitt Romney
The group of about two dozen Occupy Iowa protesters chanted, "make Wall Street Pay" and "put people first" about five minutes into Christie's speech at the Kum & Go retail and service station chain. They also shouted that Christie and Romney serve the "corporate one percent."
As the group was escorted out by security, Christie told them to "work it out. Work it out for yourselves" and referred to them as "jokers."
I've read a few articles that said that Christie handled it well and that he was "unfazed" but those journalists must not know Chris Christie very well. He was totally bent out of shape and for the first time that I have ever seen, he was at a loss for words! I heard he was walking around muttering to himself all day today. :)

#1 This is the unedited version of the pwning.
It was so bad, that somebody on YouTube with an account named "TheChrisChristie" cut that whole part out of the video. The pwned part. Gone. Poof! Like it nevah happened. lol.
#2 Oops, you forgot some things in this edited version!
And someone else on YouTube named joshpnw2 disappeared that part too, and the part about "You're so angry, arentcha?" too. Gone! Poof!
#3 Oh noes! Another edited version with even more of it disappeared!
So the #1 unedited video is the one we want to go viral.
Meanwhile, now there is talk about a Romney-Christie ticket.
‘Romney-Christie’
The New Jersey governor, who has gained a following among fiscal conservatives for slashing his state’s budget and battling with organized labor, didn’t rule out becoming Romney’s vice presidential running mate if he is asked.
“I won’t say ‘absolutely not,’ because in the end, I think it’s impolite,” Christie told a voter who asked about such a ticket. “I wouldn’t bet on Romney-Christie.”

Heh. He thinks it's impolite.
Update:
This video from NBC / The Gothamist provides a clearer view of the stage and you can see that on your left (Christie's right), two of the people on the stage right near him are occupiers who are chanting while holding up the Romney signs from the event. So they occupied the stage too.
As the occupiers are being ushered out, he tries to recover with a nasty and unfunny comment intended to demean the occupiers by saying that they are hotel workers, as if this would be such a put down. He says that "they" will be working at the Marriott down the street and to please remember to tip your waiters and waitresses.
The joke is on him -- you don't have to remind Democrats to tip waiters and waitresses.
