Again, I've got too many tabs open with stories that I thought about turning into diaries that I think I won't have time to write. So here they are -- feel free to add your own.
This article on the internal management of Occupy Boston by former Obama campaign blogger Sam Graham-Felson in The Nationa is absolutely wonderful. It matches a lot of my experiences (and tales I hear from others) at Occupy Irvine. I had a diary mostly read to go on this before the TRO against the municipal government was lifted yesterday; given the prospect that this action will lead to an ugly police raid, I didn't have the heart to write what might be a discordant celebration of Occupy Boston's success.
For those who haven't seen it, in New York magazine Jonathan Chait asks why liberals are so unreasonable about what they want from their politicians. Yah but.
I was going to write about this Taibbi article on OWS, but after a month I guess it gets stale/.
My uncle the Likudnik sent me an Op-Ed from the Jerusalem Post that did raise my eyebrows; it argues that Israel should no longer regard the U.S. as an ally (at least under Obama.) Wow. Do we have to worry about a preemptive attack, then? They're also really pissed off about democracy in Egypt (which I've long told said uncle, to his disbelief, was inevitable.)
This piece o' mine about the City Council of my neighboring city of La Habra has been creating a bit of a stir locally. I could still end up cross-posting this one. What do you think?
