I woke up groggy this morning; I could hardly remember what day it is. Yesterday I finished a marathon of finals for my second semester of nursing school and pretty much collapsed in a pile.
so - I made a cup of coffee, fed the pooch, and checked my email:
Dear parryander,
Congratulations! An anonymous benefactor has purchased you a lifetime gift subscription to Daily Kos.

Dang.
Honestly I couldn't find the words to write to thank someone for this amazing and deeply thoughtful gift. Still can't, but I had to try.
I don't write a lot here. I've posted a few diaries with one making the wreck list. I drop a comment or two when so moved, but rarely feel my opinion will add much to the debate. Mostly I am like the majority here - I read and skim through the work of others. And I appreciate having the place to do so.
My tastes range from Saturday Morning Garden Blogging to Black Kos, to C & J, travel, Haiti, Saturday Night Losers and GUS, nearly anything with woozles and other companions, through a host of political topics. I've shed tears when community members have become ill, lost their jobs, companion animals or homes, and cheered when someone found a path out of pain, bad luck, or fights the good fight and wins against such enormous odds. This is a fantastic community; with all of our flaws the good stuff way out-weighs the rough spots.
Today I am really humbled. And really touched.
thanks for the gift 'who-ever-you-are'!
Dang.
oh! P.S. - this place is really nifty w/o the Asian brides ads!
