It's the tail end of a long day that began with getting to work at 7:30 AM, working until 6, $8/hour, no overtime, and having to hang around after work to stop by a Free Clinic to get the results of a (very well performed - amazingly painless) TB test.
So, as I wrote in an e-mail to a friend while I had some time at the library before I could pick up my TB test results, at the moment my brain is fried, my loins are withered, and my armpits are smelly.
And then I came home to a Lifetime Subscription. I'm sad it's anonymous, because I'd like to thank you properly. It's deeply touching to get this gift.
After spending a year trying to get a toehold into something resembling a career path, it's been hard to remember that people actually appreciate me. So, the token of appreciation really means the world at the moment. Thank you so much.
