Yesterday I got a message that OccupySF was Occupy'ing Sue Bierman Park near The Embarcadero Center in San Francisco. I jumped on a bus with my Tell Tale Veteran's for Peace sign, and woman stopped me and asked, Where you headed, and I replied "To join Occupy SF downtown..." to which she replied "Oh are they still around?" Hum, are they?
I got down there and there were maybe a hundred people at the park, (I had missed the "march" which I was told was sparely attended), far fewer than at most demonstrations. We all caught up, hugged one another, and basically had a Christmas party in the park, and exchanged stories about the last big event, which happened to be the Occupy Oakland Port Closure on Dec 12.
Today I decided to go down to the old haunt and see what was left of the Occupation. What I found was a "hella-lot of police" and little else.
I decided to snap some pictures of what has become of the "Occupation in San Francisco". Enjoy ...
