I've always wondered what the text to Grover Norquist's pledge must have sounded like. I would assume that it has all of the gravity of the Pledge of Allegiance.
I would imagine that it was a pledge that reflects the basic philosophy of the GOP, like the Pledge of Allegiance, and so I could see it Republican children recited after prayers at the beginning of the schoolday at the Academy.
They say it was a pledge to not raise taxes on the rich, but I imagine it was something a ittle more cosmic, like this:
I pledge allegiance to a dweeb that goes by the name of Grover, and to the skinflints for which he stands, one nation under fiefdom, a bunch of suckers, with serfdom and flim-flam for all.
