Yep the 50 State Page is back bigger, better and brighter before. Now it is a database. The Barry Welsh gang have done fantastically well with this site.
And of course we continue to fill congressional districts with candidates.
Below the fold ................
Well the new 50 State site is fantastic. -
Fifty State Website
It is now a complete database of all Democratic and Republican candidates for congress and it allows YOU to post comments about any race you see fit but beware of the site rules - "Be nice - abusive or trollish comments will be purged." I think the new webmaster Art means it. You can also break races down by category according to Democratic candidate status.
Take a couple of minutes and have a look around and then donate to Barry's campaign he deserves it simply for hosting this fantastic site and project. - Barry Welsh Website
Oh yeh and I have been handed the keys to the shop so the site will be updated more or less daily from here on in. Guess that makes me a member of the Barry Welsh Gang too. Do I get a pony????
May I also pay a hat tip to Ron Gunzburger over at Politics1 - Politics1. His site and its State Pages were a great resource in firing up the 50 State site and his site inspired me to take an interest in individual congressional races also.
On the filing front the good news continues also. For those too lazy or busy to check out the 50 State Site the good news keeps on coming. We are down to 19 races uncontested and still only 3 where we definitely won't have a candidate. Check out the 50 State site for more details but I will make a few short points.
1) We still need a write in candidate for CA 42. Any Kossack care to step up. Or better still how about we draft MSOC. Whooee imagine that.
2) Paul Blackwell is our candidate in GA 9 but is trying to raise the funds to get on the ballot before filings close on Friday. Cough up a few dollars if you can. - Paul Blackwell.
3) Filings do close on Friday in Georgia and we still need candidates in the 10th and 11th, any volunteers or gossip???
4) If we can find write candidates in PA 9 and PA 15 (we have) and find a replacement candidate at very short notice in NJ-04 (we have) then we should be able to fill most of the rest of the gaps.
