UPDATE: I WAS DUPED. This is a Breitbart video. I am a dumbshit.
UPDATE: They really are predictable. Both RedState and The Weekly Standard have picked up this sham and are running with it. They are nothing if not predictable, aren't they?
A friend emailed me a link to the following video on YouTube. I watched it and was deeply disturbed. Obviously the maker of this video has an axe to grind with progressives and searched out the biggest morons at this anti-Koch rally. That being said, what came out of the mouths of some of these protestors is enough to turn your stomach.
One man said that we should send Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas "back to the fields." Holy shit! I couldn’t believe it. I had to watch it again to make sure I didn’t hear it wrong, and I didn’t. This guy said we should send an African American Supreme Court Justice from Georgia "back to the fields." Apparently the legacy of slavery is lost on this asshole.
Worse, though, at the 3:07 mark was a lady near the end of the video who advocated lynching both Clarence Thomas and his wife. Is there any situation or context where what this lady said could be considered non-violent and not hate-filled? Is there any context where what she said could be considered rational and appropriate?
After having posted this diary for a while, it was brought to my attention by doughbob in his article that Breitbart was at this rally. This video had Breitbart written all over it. That it does! He is even in this video yelling, "Let's all go to Applebees!" So, my shame is now public. Breitbart suckered me with this video.
Let my sad story be a cautionary tale, and also arm yourself with the facts. Breitbart probably staged this whole video to make progressives look crazy. He did make me look like an ass, but now you all have the right ammo to fight back with should this vid go viral.
