Here's House Speaker John Boeher, absolutely "outraged" that President Obama appointed Richard Cordray while the Congress was in "session."
“This is an extraordinary and entirely unprecedented power grab by President Obama that defies centuries of practice and the legal advice of his own Justice Department," Boehner said. "The precedent that would be set by this cavalier action would have a devastating effect on the checks and balances that are enshrined in our Constitution."
So here's what happened today, while the House is in "session."
That's Rep. Jeff Denham, (R-CA) acting as Speaker Pro Tempore and under orders from Boehner, refusing to allow Assistant Democratic Leader James Clyburn to speak on the House floor. "We're in session! But you're not allowed to speak, because... we're really not!"
Here's what Clyburn was trying to say, except that his mic was turned off:
Mr. Speaker, Democrats are here ready to work. We can't wait. We need to extend the payroll tax cuts for the middle class. Where are the Republicans? I call for the payroll tax cut conference committee to get to work.
A good assumption. If they're in session, why aren't they working on this upcoming deadline?
So, which is it, Boehner? Are you in session or not?
