We are The Federation.

We exist as a federation of individual kossacks, different in our lives, our persons, our dreams, our worries...but we have come together for a common purpose: strength through unity.

Federation members disagree with each other, but do not attack.

Federation members are wrong at times, but are handled with care and patience.

Federation members don't think President Obama is perfect, but support him.

Federation members support Democrats in the face of Republican, Libertarian, and general hyperbolic trollery.

Federation members are passionate, but are not radical for the sake of it.

Though we have leadership, each member of the Federation is held in the highest regard, respect, and value. We appreciate you for who you are and what you can contribute to the Federation and to Daily Kos.

When/if badges are allowed for group membership, Adm GGGE will actually pay a professional designer to come up with one that is cool as shit.

We hold the above values and principles in high regard while interacting with each other and with non-federated Kossacks...but we will staunchly defend fellow members and our grand Daily Kos.

We exist to raise the bar of civility, reason, and unity at Daily Kos.

You may have seen republish notes to our group...we encourage you to follow the link and read the diaries, learning more about what we hold valuable and who are members are. The diversity and leadership is already amazing and I'm truly proud to be apart of it, and if you hold the same values, encourage you to request membership.

Strength through Unity and Service,

"The Admiralty" and fellow members of The Federation.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
