Here in Madison, WI there is a bar owner that always runs right-wing, anti-government talking points in his ads every week. He's clearly more of a libertarian and not a social conservative, but he never talks about the social conservatives--it's always trashing the Democrats and our progressive mayor and city council.
Seems like an odd business strategy but then again even in Madison, about 30-35% of voters vote Republican--I guess it makes them feel like they have a safe space to go.
So imagine my surprise to see his ad today slamming the Republicans for obstructing Obama's jobs bills.
Explain why most Republican representatives have decided to screw all Americans by voting NO on every jobs bill that comes along.
Where are these peoples' heads anyway?
13 Million people out of work, and do these knucklehead Reps think the unemployed don't vote? Half of them are GOP voters.
And no, this is definitely not a laughing matter; especially when you'll be seeing 535 Democrats in Congress starting January 2013.
He obviously forgot that only a third of the Senate seats are up for election each cycle. And there are still plenty of Walker supporters talking smack here in Wisconsin. Who knows, maybe he still likes Walker better than the House GOP.
But people are starting to realize what the Republicans are up to--even hardcore Republican small business owners.
I think PPP tested out a poll question a while back that was something along the lines of, "Do you think Republicans are intentionally sabotaging the economy in order to stop Obama?"
I haven't heard much about polls featuring that question in the last couple months. It's time to start that attack back up again and run with it.
