Just when real people thought the birth certificate nonsense was laid to rest, Birtherstan has been all a'twitter and all OMG for the past few days over an AP report that an adminstrative law judge in Georgia has subpoenaed President Obama to appear in "his courtroom" to prove that he is eligible to be on the GA presidential ballot.
It's bullshit. The AP headline writer didn't do his/her homework.
If you want the details -- and I mean ALL the details complete with a hilarious video of Orly Taitz embarassing the legal profession -- go to the Oh, For Goodness Sake website. If you want the short version, read below the little curly thing.
Here's the short version followed by a quote from Oh, For Goodness Sake.
-- A group of Birthers in GA, aided and abetted by Orly Taitz, filed suit to keep President Obama off the GA primary ballot.
-- An attorney representing the GA Democratic Party filed a motion to quash their suit.
-- A GA administrative judge said, no, he will not quash, he wants a hearing complete with oral arguments and the like.
-- The GA administrative court system has their subpoena form on their website.
-- Orly downloaded the GA subpoena form and issued "subpoenas" to everyone in creation, except for the Pope, Newt, and my black-and-tan hound dawg.
-- Among the "subpoenas" issued by Orly was one compelling the State of Hawaii to allow her to prowl through their records for Obama's birth certificate. She traveled to Hawaii where she embarrassed the entire legal profession with her court appearance, at the end of which she was told to go pound sand.
-- The residents of Birtherstan, meanwhile, have latched on to Orly's "subpoenas" and to the sloppy AP headline and they are in full throat, rejoicing that the President will be hauled into court by a couple of Georgia deputies and, finally, be forced to admit he was born in Kenya, the son of Saul Alinsky and Mother Jones -- or something like that.
Meanwhile, the facts are this:
Due to a sloppy headline by Associated Press, "Ga. judge orders
president to appear at hearing," Birtherstan is agog that President
Barack Obama will be present at the administrative hearing scheduled
by Judge Michael Malihi on Thursday in Atlanta.
All of Birtherstan except Dean Haskins, who has now discovered that
Dr. Orly Taitz, Esq. lies to her supporters, is mean as a “cactus
loofah” and is the worst lawyer on the face of the Earth. Welcome
almost to reality, Dean Haskins. You are very close.
According to White House Dossier:
Obama, however, will be nowhere near Atlanta on Thursday. According to
the White House, he will be out West promoting the agenda he plans to
lay out in Tuesday’s State of the Union address. Obama Thursday plans
to make appearances in Las Vegas and Denver areas before traveling on
to Detroit to spend the night.
Nowhere near Atlanta. How can that be if he was court-ordered, as AP
claims, to Atlanta? Easy. He was not ordered. But just about every
media outlet subscribing to AP has that error in its headline. It’s
very sad, but at this moment, there are 42,400 Google entries for that
exact misleading headline.
