Earlier in the week, the Indiana Senate passed a so-called "right to work" bill. Today, the state House followed suit:
The Indiana House voted 54-44 for the controversial “right to work” bill.
The vote came as labor union protesters in the Statehouse shouted their disapproval and after two hours of often emotional debate.
The margin suggests several Republicans voted with Democrats in opposition to the bill. Since the House and Senate have passed different bills, one will have to adopt the other's bill before Gov. Mitch Daniels can sign it into law.
