Standard advertisement: Wreck List is the Daily Kos World of Warcraft guild. We are Horde-side on the Garrosh server. To join, read this diary ,visit the Guild web site, roll up a character on Garrosh and when you log in type
/who wreck list
and contact (via in-game mail or /whisper) any of our members - who can direct you to someone with /ginvite privileges and get you a guild invite. Yes, you have to be Horde. No, you don't have to be hardcore - casuals, PvPers, and people that just want to hang out on guild chat are all welcome.
More below the fold:
The guild site is giving me random 404 errors, but I don't think that there are any other reports for me there, so I'm just going to kind of wing it.
For those of us more casual or with less time on our hands, the guild has been running a Looking for Raid 25-man easy-mode Dragon Soul raid on Tuesday evenings. It's usually one half of the Dragon Soul raid, at a lower difficulty level, allowing PuGs and newer raiders to get a feel for endgame raiding.
There is a gear check involved - you can either get the gear by crafting PvP gear to get your item level (ilvl) up above 372, or you can run Hour of Twilight heroics over and over to get the gear and Justice/Valor points that you need to get there.
Of the two, I'd recommend heroics. It gives you practice for your role in the raid and gets you used to different boss mechanics and dealing with other players of varying ability. Plus, the PvP gear has a lot of resilience on it, which is expensive and pointless for raiding, so unless you know your class very well to compensate you'll only be doing half the damage that you need.
In other news, it's been quiet on the Mists of Pandaria front - although Blizzard has announced that they'll be cancelling Blizzcon this year. Whether this is due to being too busy over pending MoP/Diablo III releases or there's some other reason will take much more of an insider than myself to divine.
Finally, those of you with a more craft-y viewpoint may be interested to learn that World of WarCrafts at WoW Insider is looking for submissions. If you can make something with a World of Warcraft theme, they offer you fifteen minutes of fame brief notoriety flame-war comment threads fame.
With that, let's see, thanks to Mahuae, how the Guild Vault is doing:
