It's Saturday morning in Central Florida, the fleas are hoppin' even though it's cold, just not cold enough to kill those little buggers. My little cottage and two mini dogs and myself are just getting over a costly infestation so I am not in a good mood. Their little bodies are strewn about and if you look carefully around you might see one or 500 dead ones small enough to ignore. Vacuuming is a new part of every day.
I tuned on my computer and found this, one of my favorite anger provoking topics. Yes, it's been discussed with warnings to the coming generation and scary implications by people in the know to this boomer group that I belong to, that we may have major cuts and by 2030 something there will be nothing left.
Here... read this article and make yourself sick, just another warning to us all that we need to worry, plan and wring our hands.

The thing is, it's been said over and over and even the comments on this page are somewhat normal. Unusual for Yahoo's readers.
It makes me want to scream but no one is listening. I don't claim to have answers to this so called problem but I do know some things. The work force in this country has been outsourced by our legislators. It was good for us, all those trade agreements. We don't have enough jobs in this country to support the upcoming onslaught of "boomers" waiting for their checks. Raising the retirement age would help. Really? There are no jobs for people who are young and willing to do anything for a paycheck and they would threaten that issue with keeping old people in their jobs til they die? Who comes up with these shitty options? These are the people we elect. They could care less about any of us and simply are ensuring their own retirements. It's always about "Me" in this country.
I don't care either. I am old enough to know that this system doesn't work for anybody and it pits young against old, threatens the promises made to our seniors in subtle ways for now, but wait and see how it impacts this generation through Medicare and cutbacks, and for what?
I have work to do here in this house, lucky to have one I suppose, but I worked for it and I paid for it and the same goes for my SS checks. They'll have to take that check out of my "Cold Dead Hand" And i am sure they will.
