My fair state is now officially a "right to work" state, but Madonna's here, so that'll make it all better! ;D
It's time for SPARK! :) I wonder how much laundry soap it would take to clean dye pack goo? Ya' know, if I really was of a mind to steal a vehicle, this one would not be on my list. There ain't gold in 'dem 'dar hills! Finally, for those of us of "the fairer sex" who want a royal title, here's your chance! :D
On with The Rachel Maddow Show...
"Unto Others" - Senator Doc Coburn's married to Senator Keebler Elf?! WOW! Go sparkin' figure. ;) Rachel's not crazy about the idea of a "National Prayer Breakfast." I'm not, either. The "C Street" folk were the ones who started this stuff & organize it. President Obama spoke of actual Christian values there this morning - a foreign concept to today's GOBP. Ralph Reed didn't like that one bit! CNN focused on the "He's a Christian" stuff. The MENSA candidates have really pushed the memo that President Obama's "anti - religion." What he said this morning just sparks up THEIR memo, but that won't stop them from repeating it. If the GOBP is doing "God's work," *&^%$#@! Man on Dog wants to use markets to make medicine cheaper - great response to a kid. He must get a lot of campaign coin from Big Pharma! EJ Dionne gets "faith" duty. Making sure everyone can afford medicine isn't the same as caring for the poor, according to today's GOBP. The "religious right" really sparked up the idea of Christianity. Tele - evangelists?! HELLO??!! Some of the biggest crooks ever, but they thought they were Christian.
"Foreign Concept" - Mittens' Dad's chances at being POTUS went down the terlet when he said Vietnam brain washed him. The Romneys haven't had much kudos in the foreign policy realm. So, take Mittens' "advice" with not even a grain of salt. I know this information will come as a HUGE shock, but Mittens' thoughts on deadlines & time tables have flipped & flopped, too! I'll give y'all a few minutes to recover from the shock of that news. ;D Spencer Ackerman probably knows more about foreign policy than Mittens does; hell, I think I know more about foreign policy than Mittens does! Let's not forget that a lot of Mittens' foreign policy advisors were "winners" in the GWB years.
"Divide and Conquer" - We get Rachel's view of Planned Parenthood VS. Susan G. Komen tonight with a review of the history of GOBP attacks on Planned Parenthood. Rep. Diana Degette gets this "fun" duty, too. I think a reason why so many people are so upset is that the perception that an organization that actually seemed to be concerned about women's health issue got blown right out of the water. An organization that appeared to do so much good are really just as much of political shills as Congress critters are. Rep. Degette's the ranking Dem on the committee headed by Rep. Cliff Stearns? How would y'all like to be a fly on the wall at THOSE meetings from now on?! ;D Remember, a semi - new VP at Komen now tried to run for Governor of GA in 2010 with "killing" Planned Parenthood as part of her campaign platform. She lost, and now, she feels like she can get back at those who aided her defeat.
"Heroes Welcome" - St. Louis had a welcome home parade for the returning vets from Iraq. There are no plans for a parade in NYC. Now, Iraq veterans are weighing in on the issue! IAVA has a petition on their site.
