There is no congressional race anywhere in the country more important than Rob Zerban's challenge to Wall Street's favorite politician, Paul Ryan. They look at Ryan and they see the perfect sieve for their entire one-percent anti-democratic agenda. And they see a future senator and president.
Hullabaloo
Ryan has crushed opponents in the past. But this year could be ... should be ... maybe must be different. Here's Rob Zerban on some reasons why:
A big shift has taken place in the way people feel about Paul Ryan. Social Security and Medicare are “the third rail” of politics meaning you get shocked if you touch them. This happened to Ryan. While Ryan has gotten 60% support in the past, he is now polling easily in the 40s after our message is heard. Independents prefer me by a 3 to 1 margin. Ryan will move even lower because national Democrats, including President Obama, have taken a strong stand to protect retirement security and our social safety net.
Congress has a 9% approval rating. Paul Ryan is an important reason why.
It's not my state, but I hereby encourage all Badgers to keep the momentum going. Recall that egregious fool Walker and then take on the challenge of getting Paul Ryan out of Congress. The senior citizen you save from dying a slow miserable death from untreated illness may be your own family member.
