Add me to the throng of members of this site that are appalled and embarrassed by Operation Hilarity. I am pretty much unable to articulate myself right now because I'm so disgusted and mad.

The majority of members on this site do not want operation Hilarity to take place. I'm going to let the pictures do the talking now.

First let's look at how this was received:

kos recs
81 recs the first time around.
and 154 recs for the second attempt

And tips?
kos tip
165 tips and 3 donuts!!

At the top of the rec list right now (at the time I started grabbing screen shots)??? -Electablog's "count me out" diary. How was that received?
electablog recs
547 recs

Electablog tips
and 422 tips

And Wee Mama did a quick poll that pretty much tells the same story
poll wee mama
Here Less that 14% of those polled think this "might be OK" or better!

The rec list tells the same story
Nuff said!

The vast majority of us don't want this. This election is too important for us to be divided right now.

Remember, Daily Kos is for fighting liberals.
Well I'm here to fight this plan.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
