“Freedom isn’t to do whatever you want to do, it’s to do what you ought to do,”
Rick Santorum, Monday February 20th, 2012 at a rally in Steubenville, Ohio.
Oh really? I think you just said more than you intended there, ie., "Freedom" is a nice catch word for your flag wearing adherents but you don't really mean what they think you mean. So we're free to to do whatever YOU think we OUGHT to do, just not what we want or think we ought to do.
I rather think the rest of Republicans wished you hadn't defined the "Freedom" thing for them. I mean it was going along so well as a platitudinous, amorphous feel-good and patriotic theme without you spilling the beans.
“We were put on this Earth as creatures of God to have dominion over the Earth, to use it wisely and steward it wisely, but for our benefit not for the Earth’s benefit,”
Santorum, Colorado School of Mines where he was a guest speaker Monday February 20th, 2012 at the Colorado Energy Summit.
For whose benefit?!? Is that a spare planet under your sweater vest or a spare tire?
As an outside observer into various religions, the word "dominion" blares out end times and Calvin and the Left Behind rapture porn of the seriously deranged.
So what we ought to do is conform to Santorum's vision as a "Global Warmist" denier and rape the earth because we are supposed to have dominion over it, because we are free to do whatever Santorum dictates.
This is some scary stuff. It shows Santorum doesn't care about human existence here on earth; Santorum is more concerned about what comes after and I say that disqualifies him as a person that should be in control of anything, including public office and quite possibly being a parent. It shows Santorum is an extremely disturbed and unfulfilled individual bent on his own dominion of the people and resources of the world for his own gain. Santorum is no better than Harold Camping or Chicken Little; and worse because he has a larger soap box and sick moneybags behind him like Foster 'aspirin between the knees' Friess.
The above, taken with Santorum's broader stances on abortion and contraceptives and the whole basket of his sexual realm psychoses clearly indicates we have a damaged specimen rising to prominence on the international scene.
The former U.S. senator from Pennsylvania argued that science has been hijacked by politicians on the left, and that climate change is “an absolute travesty of scientific research that was motivated by those who, in my opinion, saw this as an opportunity to create a panic and a crisis for government to be able to step in and even more greatly control your life,” Santorum said.

Imagine the panic created by the prospect of this throwback running for President of the US so he can install surveillance cameras up your snatch because it isn't enough to have the government control your nether regions, it has to to deprive you of the right to life [on this planet] because greed is good and the afterlife is more important than, well you know.......life.
