Having 24 hours to think about it, Franklin Graham apparently realizes he stepped in it when he came very close to calling President Obama a Muslim on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" while at the same time unequivocally stating that Rick Santorum was a Christian. A few hours ago, he tried to walk back his statement, saying he just has a problem with the president's views on abortion.
"I like him as a person, but he's absolutely 100% dead wrong on this issue," Graham said on CNN. "He will have to stand before God one day and give an account to God on this issue."
Graham also said he merely "misspoke" about Santorum being a man of faith, but admitted he agrees with Santorum's abortion stance.

Am I the only one who thinks Graham came close to saying you really can't be a Christian if you support abortion rights? As someone who is very much on the fence about this, I find this offensive. And as someone whose faith was very much influenced by Billy Graham, seeing this idiocy from Graham fils truly saddens me.
Apparently Graham fils forgot how his father got egg on his face when he supported Nixon during both his presidential runs, only to have Tricky Dick crash and burn during Watergate. In fact, Billy Graham said last year that if he had it to do all over again, he never would have gotten involved in politics in the first place. If Franklin Graham doesn't watch it, he'll end up throwing mud on his father's legacy.
